Food Should Taste Good®

food should taste goodI was cruising around on the internet one night and noticed the opportunity to request and review Food Should Taste Good® products.  I thought it was a great way to introduce myself to another brand of healthy snacks.  I was sent this great assortment of four varieties.

Food Should Taste Good® (FSTG) was started in 2006 by Pete Lescoe, who wanted to give consumers new natural chips with real ingredients and a wonderful taste.  He started the company in his Massachusetts apartment with his first two flavors, Jalapeno and Multigrain.  In 2012, General Mills acquired Food Should Taste Good®.

The tortilla chips are gluten free, cholesterol free, and are free of trans fats.  They are also certified Kosher.  FSTG has voluntarily enrolled in the Non-GMO Project.  This means this company has committed to not us genetically modified ingredients.  The chip bag labeling has been updated to show verification of being non-GMO.

Food Should Taste Good® also participates in Food Should Do Good, where they support communities and causes.  They showed their support for breast cancer this year with donating $100,000 to Play for P.I.N.K.

kimchiKimchi – I would have to say this one was my favorite.  It has dried cabbage, onion, garlic, and red bell peppers.    They had a bit of a kick and were delicious alone.  I shared them with some of my crafting friends a few weeks ago and it had rave reviews.

sweet potatoSweet Potato – has sweet potatoes, corn, cane sugar, sea salt, and a blend of oils.  This flavor is sweet and mild, but yet very tasty.

cantinaCantina – a tortilla chip made with yellow corn and sea salt.  This one is wonderful with salsa and I could see it being great with other dips too.

multigrainMultigrain – contains corn, brown rice flour, flax seeds, cane sugar, seasme seeds, sunflower seeds, quinoa, sea salt, rosemary extract, and oil blend.  This variety had great crunch and almost a slight nutty flavor.

Food Should Taste Good® tortilla chips are available in a large assortment of flavors from the four I sampled to Chocolate, Olive, or Jalapeno with Cheddar.  They have also released a Pumpkin Harvest for a limited time.  Kettle cooked chips and a brown rice cracker are available too with FSTG.
