The adjustable headband needs to be simply unfolded.
The headphones should be charged before use. FLIPS™ run on battery life for when they are in speaker mode only. FLIPS™ power on a lithium-ion battery that is rechargeable through any USB, which provides hours of playtime.
These speakers feature crisp 40mm neodymium speakers and optimized amplifier. The ear cups are built to be comfy with memory foam padding and are custom vented. The headphones amplify as powerful speakers only when they are pointed away from your ears. Both ear cups must be rotated out to activate the external speakers. The music will automatically play at a higher volume when flipped out. For optimal battery life, the headphones should be folded or positioned as headphones with the ear cups inward and not in speaker mode.
The connection to charge the battery is located below the one ear cup.
A small light will illuminate red in the green area of this ear piece when charging. A full charge takes about 3 hours. When the red light turns off, the unit is fully charged. When the volume decreases or stops while in speaker mode, a blue LED light will blink to let you now it is time to recharge the unit. The light will be a solid blue when playing in speaker mode.
FLIPS™ can be charged while in use and the light will illuminate in purple when in speaker mode and charging. They will shut off automatically after 6 minutes if there is no audio signal from your device.
The case has a zipper closure and a carabineer at one end.
