Fabric Flower Headbands

August 24, 2011 by Karen

I have been seeing these beautiful headbands online and in person so I thought I’d give it a go and make some for our girls.  I bought a lot of crocheted headbands off of E-Bay and then bought fabric flowers off of Dollar Daisies. Some of the flowers had stems so I had to cut them off and hot glue them back together.  I’m not sure what I will do all of them, but thought they were fun to create.  I wish I could create a sideline doing them.
Finished Lot of 30.  I had one fatality with the blue zebra print flower.  It was near the hot glue gun when I laid it down and   put some extra glue on it and took off a petal or two.  Argh!

I had some fabric flowers from our wedding (way back in ’99) that I dug out of my craft supplies and took out the plastic parts and hot glued together.  I put alligator clips on the backs and need to find some gems to finish them off yet

I put grosgrain ribbon on the alligator clips before gluing to the back of the flower so they can be worn individually or with headband

Alligator clip opened

After doing the Juppy review, the girls wanted to try a few and have our son in the picture so our poor little boy is modeling one too.  You can tell he is so impressed, not.
