Here’s a touching sorry of a father trying to mend his family and some of the families in his community called Every Boy Needs a Hero. Joe Finn coached his son’s childhood baseball team to many victories. Joe then took a work opportunity that lead him out-of-town for quite some time. Over the course of roughly the last seven years, his wife, Hannah, became ill and passed away from what I assume to be cancer.
Joe comes back to town a few weeks before his wife passes and plans to be there now for good. His son, David, is very resentful for his dad’s absence during his childhood and makes it well-known. David is busy coaching the same baseball team that his dad did when he was a kid, but is soon to leave for college. Joe asks to help out and he and his son work to bring the team to a winning season.
Every Boy Needs a Hero showcases the importance of dads in a child’s life and how absence in their lives leads to regret. With lots of hard work, triumph and connection are seen with the families and boys on the team. Success is reaped during the remainder of the baseball season.
