My little guy sleeps in his own room, but has often requested my husband to “sleep” on his bottom bunk bed. This entails my husband laying on the bottom bunk bed while checking e-mail for about 15-30 minutes and then he exits the room when our son is asleep.
US Family Guide had an opportunity recently to review Dream Team Pets. They look like a standard plush animal at 10″, but are actually a sleep aid. Dream Team Pets are to help empower the child to sleep on their own. The child is to reward their pet with gold stickers when he/she has a good night’s sleep. The stickers go on their pet’s training certificate. If your child has a bad dream, there is no one to blame with the responsibility of a good night’s sleep being placed on their pet. This sleep aid was developed with the assistance of a pediatrician.
Each Dream Team Pet comes with a hard cover storybook that shares the story of these pets are special and help defend the child from monsters, but need the child’s help to be trained. There is a Pets’ Mission (I’ll believe in you if you do your best to protect me and my dreams while I rest) for your child to say every night before bed in the book and says if they truly believe, they (a Dream Team Pet) will protect them through the night. The book has a page for personalization located in the back inside cover.A certificate and gold stickers are included for the Dream Team Pet and their completed training. The stars go above the smiley face on the badge. My son is currently on night three and his Dream Team Pet seems to actually be helping. So far my hubby has been able to join me in the living room and not on the bottom bunk. The only negative I have on this product is for some reason a few pages in the included book came stuck together and so the finish tore off as pictured below. Dream Team Pets are available in “Playful Puppy”, “Magical Cat”, and “Mighty Lion”. They retail for $19.99 + $6.99 for shipping on Amazon.com.
