As Part of its Worldwide #CookieCare Campaign, Hotel Brand Will Serve Thousands of Free Chocolate Chip Cookies to a City Hit Hardest this Winter
WHAT:
DoubleTree by Hilton will celebrate the arrival of summer by spreading “Cookie Care” across Minneapolis – a city that endured particularly harsh winters this year. On Friday, June 20 (one day before the first day of summer) from 12 – 2 PM, local hotel team members will hand out thousands of the hotel brand’s iconic chocolate chip cookies in the hopes of making people’s day a little brighter. The initiative is part of DoubleTree by Hilton’s global Cookie Care campaign, which launched this spring to celebrate the brand’s milestone of more than 300 million cookies given to guests as a welcome at hotel check-in. The program takes the brand’s sweet treat beyond hotel doors to surprise people during key moments – from high-profile events to holidays and everyday moments of celebration.
In the spirit of paying it forward, everyone will receive two cookies – one to keep and one to share!
DoubleTree by Hilton will be celebrating the first day of summer by spreading the Cookie Care through:
- Conducting cookie giveaways from 12 – 2 PM in downtown Minneapolis (80 S 8th St, Minneapolis – 8th Street & Marquette).
- Surprising Catholic Charities Opportunity Center with a special cookie delivery
- Inviting consumers all over the U.S. to join the conversation and celebrate along using #CookieCare on social media to recognize someone they would like to share #CookieCare with on this sweet holiday for a chance to surprise others!
