Dot.Mine Day Planner Review
Dot.Mine Day Planners were created by two Michigan moms, Lisa and Sarah, who gave up their corporate jobs of pitching underwear and detergent for the entrepreneurial world.
I received a Dot.Mine Day Planner from their Family_Time.Mine line recently in the design of Elle’s Pick recently for review. This cute planner has a retail price of $19.99 and is 8.5″x11″.
This planner covers 17 months, August 2012-December 2013. It has a plastic cover that can easily be wiped off. It is spiral bound and the inside of the back cover has a pocket to keep a few loose papers.
The Family_Time.Mine series has some great features to keep the family organized. It uses a more rigid paper, like a cardstock, to dictate the activities of each season (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer). This divider folds out into the next two images.
It has a master schedule that breaks down into half hr blocks to write in “regular” weekly activities for each season. It is recommended to fill in with pencil because there could be some changes made later in the season.
Once you have figured out your family’s weekly worksheet, then you can transfer to the “master” schedule here. A helpful suggestion here is using different color of pen for each family member.
Then onto the weekly pages…
About the last two inches on the two page layout for each week is perforated to come off as a vertical strip and can be used as a shopping list, extra notes to take with you, calls, etc. Neat!
This planner was even designed with a spot to put a Post-it. It is located in lower right corner of this image. There is also a rectangle on the lower left corner or what would be the opposite page. These open areas could also be used for additional notes.
There is a “babysitter page” near the rear of this planner. You just fill out your name and address, phone numbers, name or your kids and birth dates (I might just pencil in their ages). There are also lines to write in your doctor, hospital, neighbors, and a separate line for your cell phone info. There is a box in the lower right for a Post-it to write where you will be for the babysitter and with being on a Post-it, you can easily change the information out as needed.
Here is an image of a one week in the two page layout.
A page of stickers for events such as birthdays, games, vet, etc. is also included to use in this planner.

I am excited to transfer out of my little pocket planner and start using my Dot.Mine Planner in August. My oldest starts kindergarten that month and it will be great to organize other activities my family and I routinely participates in.
