Domino’s Specialty Chicken

Dominos

You are probably already familiar with Domino’s and their pizzas.  Their menu includes 34 million ways to enjoy pizza if you consider their different toppings and types of crust!  Domino’s also has desserts, pastas, sandwiches, and more.  Chicken is Domino’s second most popular item.

The pizza chefs at Domino’s wanted to do something with chicken that wasn’t already done.  They upped the ante on lightly breaded 100% white whole breast meat that is boneless and used the sauces, toppings, and cheeses that we already enjoyed from Domino’s to create four flavors of Specialty Chicken that launched last month.

Domino's Specialty Chicken

The four distinctive flavors  of Domino’s Pizza Specialty Chicken are:

  • Crispy Bacon and Tomato
  • Spicy Jalapeno-Pineapple
  • Classic Hot Buffalo
  • Sweet BBQ Bacon

Specialty Chicken is the first new product for Domino’s since the launch of Handmade Pan Pizza in September 2012.  They are available as part of its $5.99 mix and match deal.

I was able to sample three of the four Domino’s Specialty Chicken flavors.

 Dominos Sweet BBQ Chicken

Sweet BBQ Bacon was mild and sweet – a versatile hit among the adults and children in my family.Domino's Spicy Jalapeno-Pineapple

Spicy Jalapeno-Pineapple was just for my hubby and I.  It pairs gentle and sweet pineapple with sassy jalapeno for a bit of a delayed kick.  This was our favorite flavor for uniqueness.

Domino's Classic Hot Buffalo

Classic Hot Buffalo has a bit of a zing with the classic taste of hot wings.  It has a little more zip than my kids cared for, but my husband and I liked the flavor.

Overall, Domino’s Specialty Chicken brought one-of-a-kind flavor to the table.  I would have to say with the three flavors we tried, there is a bit more kick than some kids would prefer in their food.  For our family of five, we had the three Specialty Chicken and a salad for supper so please note that it may take a bit more to feed a family than a standard pizza may provide.
