My oldest had read books from the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and so we were excited to sit down together and watch the Heffley family on their road trip to Memmaw’s 90th birthday party in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, which is available on digital HD, DVD, and Blu-ray.
The family sets off on a summer trip to visit grandma for her birthday. Greg Heffley, the main character, has recently been dubbed “diaper hands” and feels he can redeem himself by going to a video gaming convention and sparring off or at least getting pictured with the famed gamer, Mac Digby.
He and older brother, Rodrick, are all in for setting the family on a detour from Memmaw’s party to go to the convention. Get ready to share some laughs as the trip gets crazy with younger brother Manny winning a pig at the fair, crazy encounters with the Beardos, and much more. Will they still make it to the party? Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul is great for a family movie night.
