Destined to Ride has been a hit with my 11-year-old daughter. I think young girls and anyone who loves horses will find this story a treasure. Madeline Carroll (I Can Only Imagine) is a 17-year-old whose dad (Joey Lawrence) is frequently very busy with work and often called out of town.
With school out for the summer, Madeline’s dad has called on the help of Aunt Glo (Gloria) to help take care of his daughter. Aunt Glo has a ranch where Madeline bonds with Pistachio, a horse with a special past. Madeline shoots off her mouth and takes on a bet with Aunt Glo’s neighbor on results of an upcoming horse race that could have two detrimental consequences if her team loses.
