I’m guessing anyone who reads this owns at least one electronic device. I would like to share my review today on DecalGirl, who manufactures skins for electronic devices. The skins are removable adhesive backed vinyl, 100% made in the U.S.A. DecalGirl is the first vinyl skins company in the U.S. The skins are available in a matte/satin or high gloss finish.
I had received a variety of skins for our devices in a stiff pressed cardboard envelope with a quick turn around time of less than a week . I have an LG Octane and the skin I selected was Colours by Lucent Image ($9.99) and my spouse has a Motorola Droid 2 with the Original Dark Burlwood ($9.99) by DecalGirl Collective. My Laptop is an HP Pavilion DV6. The skin for my laptop is Fascinating Surprise by Kate Knight ($19.99) .
I love this design! Since this was an universal skin, I had to do a little planning beforehand and some minor trimming to make the skin fit.
Here is the boring cover of my HP Pavillion.
I had to clean my laptop with a dry, soft cloth. I used one safe for computer screens. Just be careful no to stretch the skin or let the sticky side touch itself or anything else. I started with the left edge of my laptop and got a few bubbles, but I just had to lift the skin slowly and re-apply.
Here is my husband’s Droid 2 after application. He is a residential contractor by trade and the look of Burlwood ($9.99) was perfect for him.
This image is a little blurry, but it shows the free wallpaper from DecalGirl downloaded to go with the Burlwood design.
When I first visited DecalGirl’s site, I was awe by the huge selection! You can select one of their designs or you can upload your own image and have it made into a skin. They even carry U.S. military skins. Cool!
The turnaround time from order to delivery was very reasonable and the prices are very competitive. The skins are easy to apply and seem quite durable. My husband already had a screen protector on hand that is used in the images of his Droid 2, but DecalGirl also carries screen protectors for some devices too.
DecalGirl supports over 500 devices, including cell phones, laptops, tablets, MP3 players, eReaders, and even gaming devices. They have over 2500 pieces of artwork. To find out more about DecalGirl, visit their website, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google +.

I have the same phone as you! It definitely looks better with the decal on it!

Did you get the matching screen saver for the front of the Octane?

I didn’t have a data plan at the time so I did not get the screen saver. Thanks for asking though.
