Disclosure: I received an ebook copy of the book set in this review in exchange for an honest review.
I first learned about Educents this summer. It’s a daily deals site that offers educational products at up to 90% off. Educents was created with the belief that every family deserves an opportunity to access affordable educational materials.
One of the current deals offered by Educents is this Cross-Curricular Book Set by Barker Creek that is geared for children in grades K-2. It is available as a hardcopy or ebook for $24.99. This sale goes on for 10 days.
The Barker Creek Cross-Curricular Book Set includes five books. This set is packed with fun lessons and activities. The images in this review have been randomly taken from the set.
The five books are titled the following:
- Dog Days
- Frog Frenzy
- Cat Craze
- Going, Going Gone
- Simply Sunflowers
My six-year-old loves animal themed activities and was excited when she first eyed this collection sitting on my kitchen counter. There is a little of everything in this pack. It includes animal facts, snack recipes (my daughter had Dog Chow for a snack at school today and I could show her how to make it at home because it was in Dog Days), connect the dots, and much more. One bonus to the ebook is that if you have multiple children, you can re-print for students or children at home. Each book is 32 pages x 5 books = approximately 160 activities/lessons.
Products on Educents are shipped 7-14 days after the deal ends on the site. The shipping fee is $8.90 if you order a hard copy. There is of course no shipping fees with the ebook. Shipping is available through the continental U.S., Alaska, and Hawaii. Sorry, no international orders on this site. All sales are final and ebook links may not be transferred or shared.
About Barker Creek
Since 1993, Barker Creek has been bringing award-winning educational materials and fresh new designs in office supplies and classroom decorations to market.
This small, woman-owned company started as a home-based business with the publication of theDraw•Write•Now® book series. From that humble beginning, and largely through word-of-mouth referrals from happy customers, Barker Creek has grown steadily through the years. The company now offers over 500 thoughtfully designed products that are enjoyed by children and adults in homes, schools and offices around the world.
Barker Creek’s creative and dedicated employees live and work on a peninsula in Puget Sound – just west of Seattle, Washington. The company is named after a small salmon stream that flows nearby and its frog logo was inspired by the Pacific Chorus frogs that sing along the banks of Barker Creek.
