Crispy Fruit comes in a variety of flavors. They are:
- Crispy Apples – Fuji apple slices
- Crispy Bananas
- Crispy Pears – Asian pear slices
- Crispy Mangoes
- Crispy Pineapple
- Crispy Cantaloupe
- Crispy Tangerine was added just this month to the line-up.
Crispy Fruit are 55 calories or less per serving. We were sent Crispy Apples, Crispy Bananas, Crispy Pears, and Crispy Mangoes to review. Below is a picture of Crispy Pear. This set of snacks was quickly devoured in my home. They would be nice for a lunchbox or just snacking on the go. Crispy Fruit are not organic, but do not contain the skin of the fruit, which is usually the major carrier of contaminants.
The second product line is FruitziO. They are a crunchy treat with just a hint of cane sugar. They contain zero fat and cholesterol, and come in 100 calorie packs that are resealable.
FruitziO is available in:
- Apples and Strawberries
- Strawberries
- Apricots
- Peaches
- Kiwi
We were sent Apples and Strawberries, Kiwi, Apricots, and Peaches to try. The kiwi and strawberry had a nice bit of tanginess. None of the fruits were overly sweet in taste from having a touch of natural sugar added.
Crispy Green freeze-dried fruit can be enjoyed right out the bag, added to cereal or yogurt, or trail mix for added crunch and flavor, sprinkled over frozen yogurt or ice cream, or added to a muffin or cookie mix.
Crispy Green was founded in 2004 and started to release freeze-dried fruit snacks in 2005. The snack bags say a product of China. They are vegan-friendly, peanut/tree nut free, gluten-free and dairy free and are also kosher certified.
There are only two things that I personally wish would be different with Crispy Green snacks:
- Dirty Dozen and the importance of fruits like apples should be organic as best
- I wish these products could be made from a source in the USA
Per Crispy Green’s Website: Product Storage Tips: Store unopened packages in a cool, dry place. Freeze-dried fruits absorb moisture quickly when exposed to air. To maintain the crispiness of the product, keep the opened bags in an air-tight container or refrigerate unfinished bags.
