Cook’n Software Review, Giveaway, and 50% Off Code

January 30, 2012 by Karen

I personally love to cook.  Over the years though, I have expanded my cookbook library to the max and now have a hard time finding the recipe I am looking for with so many books to reference through.  Another issue I have is a pile of recipes from other blogs and websites like Taste of Home, and need an easier way to reference them than my current method, which is putting in protective sleeves and keeping in no particular order, stored away in a three ring binder.  I have been using Cook’n Recipe Organizer, Version 10, over the last few weeks to review and hopefully solve my dilemma.

About Cook’n Recipe Organizer:

As you’ll soon discover, Cook’n is an amazing tool for moms and their families. With Cook’n you can enter & organize all of your personal recipes, create meal plans, make shopping lists, print family cookbooks, analyze nutrition, easily scale recipes, and more. With the newest version, you can search for and find the best recipes on the internet using the Cook’n Recipe Browser.  When you find one you like, simply click CAPTURE and it will automatically import it into Cook’n in seconds.  The software is helping families stay organized, save money, eat healthier, and enjoy more home-cooked meals.  The new year is an excellent time to talk about these benefits!

Cook’n Recipe Organizer

The Easiest Way to…

  • Find the Best Recipes on the Internet
  • Capture and Save Internet Recipes
  • Enter Your Own Personal Recipes
  • Sync Recipes with iPhone, iPad, & Android
  • Print a Family Cookbook
  • Analyze Nutritional Values
  • Make Menus, Shopping Lists & More!
  • Get Free Cookbook with Purchase

So, with all those great recipes I need to organize, there is this great feature called “Capture”.

I just have to go into the search box and type what I am looking for.  I am a fan of the blog titled Chocolate Covered Katie so I just type that into my search box and click on the look-up/search button (blue magnifying glass).

It then produces some search results.  I heard there was a recipe for cookie dough made with garbanzo beans so I scroll down to the results.

I then hit the “Capture” That is located on the toolbar, third one in from the right.  Then this magical thing happens…
It transfers it right into the recipe section!  It defaults to “main dishes” for the category, but a simple click allows me to put it in my “desserts” category.  In the directions category that is not seen in the past image, it does site the web address where the recipe is located for any other referencing.  I just made a few minor corrections and selected to save the recipe.
I can then select to print it out if I need a physical copy to refer to or just look it up later on the computer.
I can it made into a shopping list or even get a nutritional analysis done if I want to.  The options seem endless with this program!  I am loving it and you can have a chance at owning it too.  One lucky reader who enters in the giveaway will win a copy of the Cook’n Recipe Organizer.  For those of you who do not win, there is also a great opportunity to purchase the software at 50% off, just enter code mb-nelsonclan at website www.dvo.com/recipe-organizer.php!!!  It is available as CD or download and there is a version for PC and Mac.  This code is valid until February 29th.

Disclosure:  I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Mom Blog Society.  Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.  (http://www.momblogsociety.com)
