With young children and just the potential of incidental dings and scrapes in the home, my walls have carried some unexpected wall art and injuries from transporting furniture and so forth. Color Glide has created a way to do a quick touch-up to paint jobs in your home. Color-Glide Pro is a brushless painting system that includes an applicator and paint transfer pump. Scuffs and marks can no be easily repaired! Color-Glide Pro can also be used with hobby work.
Let me share with you how to use the Color-Glide Pro Brushless Painting System-
1. Mix paint well before transferring paint into the tube. Eliminate clumps that may clog the pump. (Straining or thinning may be necessary)
2. Unscrew the ridged applicator from the tube.
3. Twist pump head to release.
4. Use the pump to fill the tube to the “fill line”. The pump may be disposed of now. It is made of recyclable plastic.
5. Screw the applicator head firmly back onto the tube.
6. While holding the tube in an upright position, gently squeeze a small bead of paint to the applicator surface, then apply to the surface in a circular motion.
7. Repeat as needed, being careful not to allow excess to drip or pool. Only use a little paint at a time to avoid drips.
8. When finished painting, wipe the applicator with a paper towel or rinse if desired. Snap on the cap to store the filled tube away for another day.
9. Use a permanent marker to write information about your paint project directly on the tube. I only had a pen handy, but the tube does store a lot of great information.
10. Re-use. The paint stored in the tube can be refreshed by shaking the tube vigorously that contains a stainless steel mixing ball.
The Color-Glide Pro was fairly easy to fill, just some muscle power to pump the paint into the transfer pump and then aim into the applicator tube. The opening of the tube was a decent size to inject into. I reviewed the large Color-Glide Pro. There is a small version too. I am not sure how large the opening is on that variation.
It was easy to prime the applicator. A light squeeze went a long way in bringing up paint that would help saturate the felt applicator. I have to learn to use a little more control because I found myself squeezing a bit too much out and using the applicator at an angle to control the excess and going back in a circular motion to cover some runs. It takes just a bit of trial and error to create the proper amount of paint for application.
I like the idea of not having to store clunky paint cans anymore. I was thinking of how I could store the applicators in an upright position. There is an optional adhesive clip sold for this product that holds up to four applicators. The area to write and display specifics about the paint are easy to read and fill out for use and to reference for re-ordering.
The Color-Glide Pro can be purchased at www.colorglidepro.com for $5.99 (large) and $5.49 (small). It is to be used with latex paints ONLY. There is a 30 day money back guarantee on the Color-Glide Pro. This product is packaged and assembled in the USA. Parts are made in China.
