Collage.com Photo Book Review

November 11, 2014 by Karen

collage.comUsually I am making scrapbook pages, but I do see the benefit to creating photo books too.  I was allowed the opportunity to review two photo books by Collage.com.  They allow you to create one-of-a-kind projects with your photos.  You can create blankets, books, calendars, canvasses, custom wrapping paper, pillows, canvas posters and panels, beach towels, mugs, ornaments, bamboo photo prints, aluminum prints, tote bags, mouse pads, phone/tablet cases, cards, posters, and even shower curtains!

The photo books start off at $9.99.  There are hard and soft cover books available with a customizable cover.  The images are printed on heavy-weight glossy archival paper. The two books pictured above are from top to bottom:  a 20-page 11.5″x8.5″ hardcover photo book ($44.99) and a 20-page 8″x6″ ($19.99).  You can use 20-500 photos with 20 pages!  Additional pages can be purchased too.

Here are a few pages from my hardcover photo book.  I received an artist grant in photography this past spring and thought it would be fun to create a portfolio.  I was surprised that many of my macro images that  were created freehand with extension tubes were very clear.  Some of the other images were taken with an 18-55 mm lens on automatic focus and were not as sharp as I had hoped for and seemed to be clearer on my laptop screen and Facebook.  I have 4″ x 6″ prints coming soon to compare.  I don’t know the reasoning behind this yet.  I think I uploaded the images all from Adobe Lightroom and maybe the settings did not provide the most mega pixels when uploading, but odd to affect only some and not all.IMG_2948

Here are a few pages from the soft cover photo book.  My sister and her family came to visit from Italy at the end of the summer and Collage.com provided a nice layout for the many photos we had taken.  I sent this book off to her so my nieces and nephew could remember their time spent here.  All of the images in this book were crisp and clear.collage.com

The photo books from Collage.com were easy to create.  I would have to say it is more user-friendly than creating books on Shutterfly.   Each photo book is made to last on acid free archival paper and comes backed by their 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Images can be selected from Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, or your computer.  I have noticed there are two qualities to the images on Facebook so use caution when uploading your images or they may not be as sharp.  Collage.com features an auto-placement engine with their photo books so it instantly provides you with a great layout and it provides and ariel overview to quickly swap and re-size images from any page.  You aren’t stuck working on one page at a time.

I am an American man, and I have decided to boycott American women. In a nutshell, American women are the most likely to cheat on you, to divorce you, to get fat, to steal half of your money in the divorce courts, don’t know how to cook or clean, don’t want to have children, etc. Therefore, what intelligent man would want to get involved with American women?

American women are generally immature, selfish, extremely arrogant and self-centered, mentally unstable, irresponsible, and highly unchaste. The behavior of most American women is utterly disgusting, to say the least.

This blog is my attempt to explain why I feel American women are inferior to foreign women (non-American women), and why American men should boycott American women, and date/marry only foreign (non-American) women.

    BOYCOTT AMERICAN WOMEN!
