Chill It Bags

I received a set of Chill It bags to review in exchange for an honest review.  Chill It bags are made by Bella Vita.   They are like a portable cooling bag for your alcoholic beverage, soda, bottled water or other beverages.

To use, simply place your Chill It bag in the freezer.  The bag essentially becomes an ice pack with handles for your drinks.  You do want to wait a few minutes after pulling the bag from the freezer before opening because it can crack or break if you instantly open the chilled bag.  IMG_2956

Chill It bags are available in single bags, double bags, and six-pack bags.  They come in single colors or a two-tone Chill It bag.  The two-tone bag below is for a six-pack.

The size of the single bottle bags is 4″x3.75″x12″, not including handle.  The six-pack bag is 8″x6″x7″, not including the handle.

Chill It bags do work best when you add your beverage that has already been chilled.  These bags are to keep a beverage chilled for one hour in 80 degree Fahrenheit temperatures. IMG_2959

I think Chill It bags are a fun way to cool beverages.  They look stylish and trendy.  The tall single use bags all had the honey comb shaped clusters that froze firmly, but the two-tone bag stayed liquified after freezing for the same amount of time so my beverages didn’t seem to stay cool as long.  I’m not sure what caused the difference.

The bags are quite stiff when they come out of the freezer so it is very important to give them a bit of time to thaw out.  It’s just like any other plastic item in freezing temps – hardens and has the potential to break otherwise.

Chill It bags are available through many retailers, like Amazon.com and many other fine retailers.  There is a large variety of colors available in the single color bags and many in two-tone.  On Amazon.com, the single bottle retails for approximately $7.98 and the two-tone six-pack for $15.75.
