Channing O’Banning was created by published curriculum author and award-winning art educator, Angie Spady. This title is recommended for children ages 5-10. Channing is a fourth grader who has a knack for drawing in her sketch pad and a love of gummy turtles.
In Channing O’Banning and the Rainforest Rescue, your child will read about the end of Channing’s fourth grade year. Then they can share in the adventure as she and her family travel to Costa Rica for a summer vacation. Your child can learn about the rain forest and some of the unique life that call it home.
Little Miss Channing also has to learn about making new friends in this story. She is served a bit of humble pie by placing early judgement of a new student. She will later realize that he is meant to be a great friend.
Channing O’Banning has recently started on her adventures out in the Wild West with Channing O’Banning and the Turquoise Trail. This series was inspired by Angela Spady’s daughter who is an accomplished teen artist.
