March is soon coming to a close and if you enjoy NCAA basketball, you are well aware of the excitement brewing from March Madness this time of year. Get together with friends and family to enjoy the games and Klement’s will help make your next gathering memorable.
Klement’s has been creating artisan sausages with lean cuts of meat since 1956 in the USA. Their family recipes started to take shape in Europe and traveled with the family to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
They have a line of pre-cooked dinner links that compliment so many recipes and speed up meal prep for my household. I also appreciate the fact that their products are naturally hardwood smoked, do not have MSG, and are yet created in small batches.
For a simple appetizer to share during the game, I like to recruit Klement’s Polish Sausage, a simple BBQ sauce, and my slow cooker for Klement’s Zesty Sausage Bites. It helps to serve them with toothpicks to keep fingers clean. 🙂
Zesty Sausage Bites
Ingredients:
2 packages of 14 oz. Klement’s Polish Sausage, sliced vertically into rounds
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 onion, diced finely
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons hickory liquid smoke concentrate
Add all of the above ingredients to your slow cooker and cook on high for a minimum of two hours. Then place toothpicks into the sausage bites and enjoy!
