When Calls the Heart:  Troubled Hearts is the newested DVD release of the Hallmark Channel series When Calls the Heart.  This series is inspired by The Love Comes Softly books by Janette Oke.

Erin Krakow (Army Wives), Daniel Lissing  (Eye Candy), Jack Wagner (Melrose Place) and  Lori Loughlin (Full House, 90210) star in When Calls The Heart.   In this installment, Elizabeth is feeling a bit of a living space pinch with sharing the apartment above Abigail’s with Cody and Clara.

Elizabeth decides to rent Abigail’s old house and works to bring the somewhat neglected property up to par.  Jack is busy working with Lee from the local sawmill on the construction of his new home that he hopes will include a future with Elizabeth.

If you have caught other episodes, you will have a sense of Rosemary often meaning well, but getting into the business of others.  Rosemary works on renovating Lee’s office at the sawmill and finds that he has taken out a loan.  She then offers to take care of the books and brings spending almost to a halt before asking Lee simply what the loan is actually for.

Poor Pastor Frank still has to deal with Jesse in town.  Jesse wants Pastor Frank to serve his part again in the gang led by Jack Harrison to help pull off a train robbery.  To bring up Pastor Frank’s past to the townspeople of Hope Valley, Jesse plants an old “Wanted” poster up in town for a Matt Landry, Frank’s previous name.  Abigail then questions her feelings for Pastor Frank.

Mr. Gowen is looking to sell his stake in Abigail’s cafe.  He has found a Mr. Humphries as a potential business partner.  After inspecting the property, Mr. Humphries gives Abigail a list of improvements where she would be financially responsible for half the cost.  Thankfully near the end of the episode, Bill Avery appears in Abigail’s kitchen and is making himself breakfast.  He made an offer to Mr. Gowen that he accepted and owns half of the cafe now with Abigail.

Little Cody is having a hard time making friends and is missing his father.  Cody just wants to play ball and is not doing his homework.  He is also getting into fights.  Cody and Abigail go over to Elizabeth’s for a painting party at her rental.  Cody starts tossing the ball around and accidentally breaks a glass vase that Jack had gifted Elizabeth.

Disclosure:  I received a copy of this title on DVD.  No other compensation was received for this post.
