When Calls the Heart: Rules of Engagement is the third installment on DVD from the television series inspired by the writings of Janette Oke. It is produced and directed by Michael Landon Jr.
I loved continuing on with the story in When Calls the Heart. Mounty Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) has returned to Coal Valley, a few moments after a never seen before female visitor arrives in town. This woman is open in stating that she is Jack’s fiancé. Jack’s return isn’t so welcome by Elizabeth Thatcher with meeting this woman from his past first and hearing no mention of having a fiancé in the past.
Elizabeth’s parents fear for her safety in Coal Valley and provide her with a career opportunity. The visitor and the news from her parents threaten to end to Jack and Elizabeth’s blossoming relationship.
Jack’s old friend from school comes to town too. He is sent in to investigate and unravel the truth behind the mining accident that killed Abigail Stanton’s husband and son plus many other men from the town. The mine owner will do whatever he can to keep secrets hidden, even trying to pin the event on Abigail’s deceased husband! I can’t wait to see how the story of When Calls the Heart continues!
