With living in Minnesota, the statues and folklore surrounding Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox are scattered throughout the scenery of my state. Now there is a computer animated film coming out titled Bunyan & Babe that will bring these two folklore giants to your screen. Bunyan & Babe features the vocal talents of John Goodman (Bunyan), Kelsey Grammer, Jeff Foxworthy (Babe), Mark Hamill, and YouTube star Johnny Orlando.

In Bunyan & Babe, Travis (Johnny Orlando) and Whitney, his sister, leave mom and the big city to spend some quality time on their grandparents’ farm over the summer. While visiting, they discover a nasty real estate developer’s (Kelsey Grammer) plan to steal and then destroy the forest and neighboring residential properties, including their grandparents’ farm in Delbert County.
Travis escapes from one of the developer’s henchman on his bike and makes it to the forest. He falls upon a magical portal and runs into Paul Bunyan and Babe in this parallel land. They had left our land with the modernization of machines. Paul and Babe escort Travis back to our world and try to help save this rural community from being made into a concrete development. This film is Dove “Family-Approved” for all ages.
