REVIEW: Amy Allen Clark, the founder of MomAdvice.com, with the assistance of Jana Murphy, have collaborated to create a great collection of ways to make the most with what you have with The Good Life for Less. Amy was left with some swift decision making when her husband was unexpectedly laid off and while she was planning to soon become a stay-at-home mom and first-time parent.
With being a stay-at-home parent for the past four years, I was aware of some of the information presented in The Good Life for Less by doing my own research, but this book still had a ton of great tips. Amy shares quite a few recipes I hope to soon try and test in my own kitchen for meals and to prepare for frugal cleaning. This book is so much more than cooking though. I was not aware of the need to check bills routinely for errors like “ghost billing” or calculating your personal “Latte Factor” to determine how small indulgences and expenses can quickly add up to big bucks. There are also many great ideas on how you can celebrate special holidays while sticking to a budget and not breaking the bank. Amy’s quest to become debt free is personally inspirational.
The Good Life for Less provides simple and practical guidance on living a good life for less. This is a great reference book. I can’t wait to share the news of this new release with my friends and family. 🙂
Amy’s first book signing will be on January 19th from 2-4 PM at the Mishawaka Barnes & Noble Store in the University Park Mall
