I recently read You Were Born For This 7 Keys to a Life of Predictable Miracles. I was brought up with the understanding that a miracle was something that rarely happened and did not happen to everyone. Bruce Wilkinson explains how miracles can happen daily and that God wants you or I to be the vessel or vehicle for them to happen, God’s ambassador to everyday miracles.
In You Were Born For This, Bruce shares how we need to open our hearts and set aside our fears. We should be more willing to act on what seems like a nudge or cue. He explains how we need to be committed and open-hearted to being part of miracles on a daily basis. There are some amazing stories of everyday people and miracles that have happened to them. This book is not on the theology of miracles, just a practical guide on how we can be able to help God deliver them. God is the only one who can preform the miracle, sometimes he does it by himself, sometimes he does it with angels, or he can answer a need with a human being. We can be his delivery person for a miracle!
I feel like I have been given signals in the past, have been doubtful or fearful and have missed my chance to act and do my part to help carry out a miracle. After reading Bruce’s book, it has motivated me to pay close attention to the “nudges”, “bumps”, or “cues” I might be given now and in the future.
