About the Book:

Are you ready to strip fear’s power over you and become the confident woman you were meant to be? Have you found that tolerating your personal fear monsters only makes them growl louder?

Okay, sister – take my hand and let’s boldly step up and yank the masks off those shadow-lurking, anxiety-churning, worry-generating beasts.

With her own brand of off-beat wit and wisdom, inspirational humorist Debora Coty addresses heart needs of women worn down by everyday fears – financial, health, relationships, loss, pain, the unknown, the what ifs …

With fresh spiritual insight, Debora shares hope, true life stories, scriptural lifelines, and a few LOL’s along with simple, practical tips for sidestepping fear with faith. And a fistful of chocolate!

Review:

This is the first book I have read by Debora.  It is a cute little book that addresses the unfortunate feeling we all have experienced at one time or another, fear.  Debora shares wonderful stories about herself and other women.  I found Fear, Faith, and a Fistful of Chocolate to be quite humorous and inspiring.  Having a past in the veterinary profession and being a pet owner, I will not easily forget the tale of the cat and the arrow, OMG!

Fear, Faith, and a Fistful of Chocolate addresses internal and external fears, how to protect ourselves with our faith, and faceless fears.  There are some wonderful verses and quotes included in each chapter to help lift your spirits.  “More Pluck, Less Chicken” at the end of each chapter proposes questions for you to ponder and then work to conquer.

This book is geared for women only.  It works for an individual or in a group setting.  Even though the fear of subjects like loss of money, death of a loved one, and so forth are very serious and real, Debora uses a light-hearted approach and works to put your mind and heart at ease.

Disclosure:  I received this book from Litfuse Publishing Group to produce this review.  The thoughts and feelings expressed are my own.
