One snack product we always have to have on hand in our home is popcorn. It contains a good amount of fiber, if gluten-free if you need to watch your diet, and if you don’t doctor it up with a bunch of butter, it can be a very healthy snack. I was sent three jars of Black Jewell Popcorn to try in Native Mix Popcorn, Original Black Popcorn, and Crimson Jewell Popcorn. The kernels showcase some beautiful and unique colors. Ironically, they all pop up white!
Black Jewell Popcorn is Non GMO Project Verifed and is certified 100% whole grain by the Whole Grains Council. This is a product of the USA and is headquartered in St. Francisville, IL.
We used an air popper for popping the popcorn and was told that I might need to put a plate over to prevent the kernels from hopping out of spout, but I did not need to intervene. The directions are: Pour 2 Tbsp. of cooking oil in a saucepan, heat over medium, and adding 1/3 c. popcorn. Cover and shake until popping stops. Pour into large serving bowl, season with salt and melted butter. Enjoy!
I have been a bit leery of eating popcorn the last few years because I accidentally bit down on an “old maid” and ended up cracking a tooth that has needed a new filling and several adjustments to feel comfortable over the last two years. Black Jewell pops up soft and airy. It is minimal for hulls and unpopped kernels so it helps me enjoy an old treat with less worry. I’ve used other main stream brands with yellow kernels and they often seem a bit chewy, which is not the texture of Black Jewell.
Black Jewell can be purchased as ready to pop kernels, microwavable cartons, and ready-to-eat popcorn in bags will be coming soon. The jars, like pictured in this post, are 28.35 oz. and retail for $6.99 on BlackJewell.com with $5 flat rate shipping for ground shipping if you order six or more items. Shipping jumps to $9 if under 6 items. Black Jewell is available on Amazon.com and select retailers across the U.S. To learn more about Black Jewell Popcorn, please visit BlackJewell.com.

Popcorn is nice and healty snack for the little ones. Like you mentioned without the loads of butter. Lots better for the children than those sweets.
