We used an air popper for popping the popcorn and was told that I might need to put a plate over to prevent the kernels from hopping out of spout, but I did not need to intervene. The directions are: Pour 2 Tbsp. of cooking oil in a saucepan, heat over medium, and adding 1/3 c. popcorn. Cover and shake until popping stops. Pour into large serving bowl, season with salt and melted butter. Enjoy!
I have been a bit leery of eating popcorn the last few years because I accidentally bit down on an “old maid” and ended up cracking a tooth that has needed a new filling and several adjustments to feel comfortable over the last two years. Popcorn is nice and healty snack for the little ones. Like you mentioned without the loads of butter. Lots better for the children than those sweets.
