Black and Decker Cordless 2-in-1 Stick Vac

Our home has mainly hardwood laminate and ceramic tile, but the vacuum is still a valuable tool for us to tackle rugs and dry spills.  Black & Decker has designed the Cordless 2-in-1 Stick Vac to help clean up messes.  It comes with a lightweight vacuum, handheld vac, user’s manual, and charging cord.

Set-up is a breeze.  There is one screw that is loosened and then tightened that allows the handle to be inserted into the main body.  The floor head snaps onto the body, and the hand vac is inserted in place.  With the cord plugged into a nearby outlet, charging should commence and it is recommended to do the first charge for at least 5 hours to maximize the lithium battery.  After that, time for a full charge is typically 4 hours.

Once assembled and charged, the Black & Decker Cordless 2-in-1 Stick Vac is ready to go.

The main body has a button to compress in order to release the handheld vac and it simply snaps back into place.  This little guy seems to have quite a bit of power.  The only downfall to the handheld device is cleaning corners.  This model does not come with the brush and crevice tool.  I think those two components would increase the versatility of jobs done by this handheld vac.

With using the hand held vac or the regular vacuum, the filter can be simply tapped over the garbage can or you can clean it with water.  Just be sure to dry thoroughly before using the vacuum again if you do use water on the filter.  It’s nice that the bag bowl is translucent to visualize how much debris is in it.

The LED charging indicator illuminates when the unit is charging or when you have it on.

The main vacuum does have the option of turning the rotary brush on or off for use.

The floor head pivots effortlessly.  It is important to have the tab seen here sitting in the indent on the floor head or the handle is more likely to fall over.

I was happy to see how easy it was to remove the rotary brush.  When powered off, turn over the floor head and there is a plastic tab to pinch.  Then the rotary brush can be lifted out of the floor head.  This makes it so easy to remove hair or other objects that may wrap around the brush.

The Black & Decker Cordless 2-in-1 Vac (Model No. HSV320J32) comes with a two-year limited warranty.  I love how it pivots effortlessly and that it is lightweight.  The included handheld vac has a good amount of power and does a nice job as long as you aren’t trying to suck out of corners.  Cleaning out collected dirt and debris from the vacuum and handheld vac are very accessible.  This product is currently available on Walmart.com for $98.00 with free shipping or free in-store pickup.  The 2-in 1 Stick Vac maks a great gift and will help keep upcoming holiday messes at bay.
