Recently, we closed down our vegetable garden outside with it now reaching under 40 degrees as the afternoon high in Minnesota. I am thankful we can still enjoy fresh herbs in the house with Back to the Roots Kitchen Herb garden.
This kit comes as a 3 can pack. There are 3 cans with potting mix, 1 packet cilantro seeds, 1 packet basil seeds, and 1 packet mint seeds included plus an extra mint seed packet.
The instructions are easy to follow:
- Plant seeds
- Place in light
- Add water
- Harvest and cook
For best results, the soil and seeds are to be in full sun for 8+ hours. There is a 100% guarantee to grow with this product. I only have a west window to place the cans in my house, which isn’t as long of lighting as say the east side would be.
I also like that this product is made in the USA and is 100% recyclable. The cans are made of recycled steel. There are no drainage holes or transplanting needed.
My 8-year-old helped put the seeds in the potting soil and has been good about helping with the watering. If you are looking for a STEM activity to take on with your kids, or just some garden goodies you can grow indoors, Back to the Roots has you covered. The three can herb garden pictured in my review retails for $19.99.
I received an indoor herb garden kit from Back to the Roots to facilitate this review.
