Here’s a fun little gadget for those that enjoy coffee. Aerolatte has a product called the “Steam Free Milk Frother To Go”. I haven’t tried it yet, but I heard on a YouTube video that the Aerolatte Milk Frother works well for making protein drinks, hot cocoa, and scrambled eggs too so consumers beyond those who are coffee drinkers may enjoy this product as well.
The Aerolatte Steam Free Milk Frother is a hand-held device that runs on 2 AA batteries, which are included and installed. There is a plastic peg that runs up from the base that needs to be removed before first use of the device. Just pull the wide end of the peg at the base and guide it out through the whisk.
Now you can easily create lattes, cappuccinos and more at home at a fraction of the cost. I usually use half and half at home with my coffee, but you can use low fat or whole milk with this hand held whisk too.
I placed a small amount of coffee syrup in the bottom of my mug and filled it about 1/4 full with half and half. Then I placed the Aerolatte frother in and let it do it’s work. The only thing to note with this gadget is that you should refrain from touching the sides of your mug/cup as well as the bottom. Allow the whisk to almost float in your mug. Also make sure not to turn the whisk on until the whisk is fully submerged in the liquid and off before you lift it out or you will have a large mess to deal with.
It takes 20-30 seconds to froth your milk, cream, or half and half that is cold or warmed before using the whisk. I have read that microwaving the dairy for 20-30 seconds beforehand seems to keep it foamy for a longer period of time. In the images of this review, I used cold half and half.
I then poured brewed coffee into my mug. You can be a fancy barista with a stencil and create a design on top of the foam if you have one. 🙂
The Aerolatte Milk Frother To Go is nice and portable. You can use it at home or take it with you on the go. It is available in the black for $16.82 currently on Amazon.com and comes with a storage tube. There is a Moo and British Flag design also available.
For maintenance, simple run the whisk under hot/warm water to clean. You do not want to submerge the enter unit in water.
Disclosure: I received the Aerolatte Milk Frother to review. No other compensation was received for this post.
