Fall officially began just a few days ago and school has been in full swing for many of us over the last few weeks. Schwan’s wants to help you be ready with hearty morning breakfasts and dinners with family that are fresh and fun.
I was sent a week-long menu of products from Schwan’s for my family and I to enjoy in exchange for an honest review. This assortment was wonderful in speeding up the morning mealtime and allowing my family and I to enjoy the evenings together a bit more. Along with that, I also managed to step on my daughter’s die cast toy jet and put its landing piece of sharp metal in the ball of my foot. I could barely walk on my left food for three days so it was such a welcome sight to have Schwan’s in the freezer and not having to spend a lot of time in the kitchen making a wholesome meal.
How about a tasty breakfast? The English Muffin Sandwich serves 4 and is microwavable. To prepare, simply unwrap and place the egg and pork sausage patty on a microwave safe plate. Cook for 45 seconds and then re-assemble the sandwich to heat all for 1 minute in the microwave. Allow the sandwich to cool before ingesting and enjoy. This sandwich has wonderful flavor, but I would have to keep it as a treat due to some of the nutritional values.
The English Muffin Sandwich has a pork sausage patty, scrambled eggs, and American cheese nestled on an English muffin. This product retails for $8.20, but is now $7.48 on schwans.com and is on p. 36 of the Schwan’s Shopping Guide Sept.-Oct. 2013.
Italian Style Cheese Stuffed Chicken #403
I took these out the night before and placed them in the fridge to thaw. The chicken is to cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit in the oven for 30-33 minutes and then allowed to rest for 2-3 minutes. You can also cook them from the frozen state with a higher temp, 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 43-45 minutes. It is recommended to line a baking sheet with tin foil and sprayed with no-stick cooking spray.
This delicious bundle is made of a natural, hand trimmed whole chicken breast that has been hand stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and Romano cheeses. Then it is topped with Italian herbs, Parmesan and Romano cheeses, and toasted panko.
I thought the Italian Style Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast was delicious. The chicken was moist and juicy and the cheese blend was creamy and flavorful. This product is $14.98 for 4-7 oz. portions. It is located on p. 8 of the Schwan’s Shopping Guide Sept-Oct. 2013 and is featured on the cover.
Please stay tuned this week as I feature other great products from Schwan’s.
