Disclosure: I received Redmond Trading Products in exchange for an honest review.
Redmond believes nature makes great products and that we can not improve upon nature. I think this is a pretty cool concept.
This principle, and a passion for wellness, is the philosophy behind all of our Redmond products. We keep them simple, clean, and real–just the way nature intended.
I received several products for this review:
- Earthpaste in Wintergreen
- Earthpaste for Kids in Lemon Twist
- Redmond Clay Dietary Supplement
- Redmond Bath Salt Plus
- Redmond Clay First Aid
- Redmond Real Salt
- Redmond Real Salt Organic Natural Garlic
- Redmond Real Salt Organic Natural Season Salt
Redmond Bath Salt Plus
This bath salt is a pretty reddish-brown. The deep colors indicate more than 60 trace minerals. This product may help with detoxification and re-mineralization (through osmosis and diffusion), soothe stiff, sore, and aching muscles, improve circulation, plus heighten the benefit of relaxation. There are no oils or fragrances added to this product.
Redmond Bath Salt Plus comes in an 18 oz. container with twist off lid or 7 lb. bulk bucket. To use, add 1/2 cup to the bath and soak for 30 minutes. You can add your own essential oils to the bath water prepared with Redmond Bath Salt Plus is you so desire.
Recently I managed to step on my daughter’s die cast jet and got the base stuck ( about 1/4″ long) into the ball of my foot. I used this product and soaked my foot twice a day for 2 1/2 days. I think it helped speed my recovery.
Redmond Clay
Redmond clay is a healing clay that can be mixed with water and used internally or externally. It is high in sodium and calcium. This product can be mixed with water or juice and ingested to help improve digestive health. It can also be mixed with water to make a paste that can be applied to cuts, bruises, insect bites, rashes, acne, used as a facial, and more.
This product is supplied in a 10 oz. container or 6 lb. pail. I haven’t had a chance to use this product yet. This product does have a warning that it contains trace amounts of lead.
Redmond First Aid
For all those moments that need a little first aid, there is Redmond Clay First Aid. This is ready to use hydrated clay. It is to help with burns, cuts, abrasions, insect bites, bruises, rashes, bee stings, blisters, poison oak, poison ivy, dry skin, or itchy skin. You want to apply a generous layer, up to 1/4″ thick over the area needing treatment. If you cover with cheese cloth or plastic wrap, it helps the gel from drying out.
This product is for external use only. It helps pull out more superficial impurities. This could be toxins or simply assisting with wound cleaning. I used this for the first few days after injuring my foot this weekend.
This product comes in a 4 oz. tube and is a gray colored gel.
Real Salt is free of anti-caking agents and MSG. I did not know dextrose (sugar) was added to some salts, but Real Salt is free of all these additives. Redmond does not heat process or strip the natural trace minerals from their salts. The flecks of pink come from over 60 naturally occurring trace minerals.
Real Salt is harvested about 300 feet below the surface of the earth in Redmond, Utah. This product contains naturally-occurring iodine, but it is not enough to satisfy the daily allowance of 150 micrograms. You can get naturally occurring iodine from kelp, yogurt, eggs, strawberries, and mozzarella cheese to satisfy your daily allowance while routinely using Real Salt..
Redmond Real Salt Fine Salt
Redmond Real Salt Organic Natural Garlic Salt
Redmond Real Salt Organic Natural Season Salt
There is also a Real Salt with Organic Onion. Real Salt comes in an assortment of sizes. Kosher salt available for Real Salt too. I loved using these three products in my kitchen. They are very fine in texture and blend well with a variety of foods.
Earthpaste
Are you looking for a natural toothpaste to add to your dental hygiene regimen? Earthpaste is made with hydrated Redmond Clay, xylitol (a natural sweetener that some studies point to preventing dental decay), essential oils (tea tree oil and others for flavor and health), and Real Salt. The xylitol is non-GMO certified and is made from birch and/or corn cobs. It does NOT contain the following: glycerin, fluoride, artificial coloring, and foaming agents. Menthol is used with the peppermint and wintergreen Earthpaste. This product is even safe to eat!
I was sent the Earthpaste Wintergreen to review and Lemon Twist, which is labeled for kids. I tried the flavor of the Lemon Twist – very refreshing. The Wintergreen Earthpaste had a nice flavor too, but for some reason my mouth felt like it had dried out a bit after use.
Earthpaste is gray in color and has a slight salty flavor. If you are new to Earthpaste, it will feel a bit different with the foaming agents being absent, but the foam many of us are accustomed to is unnecessary.
Redmond Trading Company has a great variety of products that are natural, but don’t make you sacrifice quality or effectiveness. Please feel free to check out their product line at http://www.redmondtrading.com/.
