Disclosure: I received this product in exchange for an honest review as a US Family Blogger.
Have you been looking for a unique way to preserve your child’s artwork? I participated in an opportunity that allowed me to send in my children’s drawings to MakeIt, who made them into usable plates!
I was mailed the Prepaid Art Plate Kit for this review. This kit on the MakeIt website is $17.99. This price includes the kit you will receive; shipping the plate to you (you do need postage to mail drawings in to company for plate design), and of course the finished plate. Additional plates can be ordered, but there would be an additional fee.
This kit comes with 25 blank templates; a set of markers that you can keep after creating their work of art, and a cardboard mailer to sent your child’s artwork back in to MakeIt. The plates are 10″ in diameter.
My son, Caleb, is only 2 1/2 so his creation consisted primarily of random lines, my daughter, Jayden, at 4 1/2 made a picture of me with a sun and rainbow, and my oldest daughter, Layne, at 6 1/2 is into drawing butterflies and figures from nature, like trees. Within 15 days, the plate(s) will arrive at your home.
Here are my three children with their plates. Sorry for the messy background. I should also warn you that my daughters like to mismatch their pajama pieces, like this photo. My kids were thrilled to see their artwork on the plates that we received. They can not wait to use them, but I am a little torn if I want them to use them or have them as a keepsake.
