Nature’s Own Soft Variety Bread Review

August 8, 2013 by Karen

IMG_2689 Nature’s Own has been around since 1977.   They produce soft variety breads, premium specialty breads, white breads, buns, sandwich rounds, and English muffins, bagels, and breakfast breads.

Nature’s Best strives to have ingredients that are free of artificial preservatives, colors, and flavors.  Nature’s Own also is free of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), has no trans fats or cholesterol, is low fat, and offers varieties with whole grain, higher fiber, lower calories, and omega 3.

Nature’s Own is currently available in the southern half of the U.S., from the Atlantic to Pacific, and as far north as Maine.  They are not available in Minnesota yet.  :-(.  Nature’s Own is owned by Flower Foods.

I was sent Nature’s Own Whole Wheat Sandwich Rolls, 100% Whole Wheat Bread, Honey Wheat Bread, 100% Whole Wheat Sandwich Rounds, and Healthy Multi-Grain Rounds in exchange of an honest review.   This was a delicious opportunity.

Nature’s Own Sandwich Rounds are a fun way to make mini pizzas, lighten up traditional sandwiches and burgers, or a new way to create a meal.  Sandwich Rounds are available as an eight-count bag with a re-sealable zipper to help keep the product fresh.

Nature’s Own has the ability to create these amazingly soft breads, like the 100% Whole Grain Bread and the Whole Wheat with Honey Bread.  The 100% Whole Grain has 12 grams whole grain per slice, 0 grams of trans fat, and is overall low in fat.  This bread is topped with bran flakes, flax seeds, and amaranth seeds.

Nature’s Own 100% Whole Wheat with Honey contains real honey and accompanies it with healthy whole grains.  This bread has 11 grams of whole grain and 3 grams of fiber per slice.

Overall, I am very impressed by Nature’s Own.  I wish they were available in the upper Midwest.  The bread is soft and highly palatable.  Nature’s Own seems to have general concern about creating a product that is healthy for you too.

Disclosure:  I received products in exchange for an honest review.  No other compensation was received for this post.
