It’s neat to say that 3M is another company with its humble beginnings in Minnesota and has become a globally recognized brand. Command products are made by 3M and I would like to share two new collections in the Command product line.
I don’t know about you, but with five people in my household, I am always looking for ways to provide more storage and organization. Command products use Command Strips, a stretch-release technology that holds on strong and comes off cleanly without damaging surfaces.
The first new product is Command’s Colorful Hooks.
They are available in two varieties:
- Small wire hooks that hold up to 1/2 pound – packaged with three hooks and four clear strips
- Medium hooks that hold up to 2 pounds- packaged with two hooks and four clear strips
They are available in four vibrant colors:
- Perfectly Pink
- Glamorous Green
- Purely Purple
- Boldly Blue
The suggested retail prices is $3.88 for Command Colorful Hooks in the small and medium sizes.
My daughters share a room and needed a way to hold small items, like their cameras, and dress up items that would otherwise just get lost in the bottom of bins. There was some open space on one of their walls.
I also mounted the small wire hooks, which worked nicely for their bracelets and necklaces. Now they are not lost in the great abyss, a.k.a. their bedroom.
Command Colorful Hooks have clear, transparent adhesive strips. The colors are vibrant and happy. They can be boy or girl friendly with pink, purple, blue, or green.
Who can’t use more organization in the bathroom? Command has products to help keep razors, towels, and other bathroom essentials organized, and cleaned, perfect for me, ever since I got my Marble, Travertine & Onyx Basin Sets I try to take care of my bathroom as much as possible. They have been tested and found to hold better than suction cups. The new line features water-resistant strips which are to withstand hot, wet, and humid areas. These products hold well to an assortment of surfaces – glass (mirrors included), tile, fiberglass, and painted walls. Then they remove without damaging surfaces with dreaded holes, marks, sticky residue or stains.

Here is my soap bar sticking to the edge of the tub, get ruined by moisture.
This is the back of the Command soap dish.
If you are not familiar with Command products, the adhesive strips come with a side that has wording in red on one side and “wall” printed on the other side in black so you can tell which side goes on the product and which side of the adhesive strip goes to the wall.
Here are the adhesive strips on the back of the soap dish before mounting to the wall of the tub surround.
The razor/toothbrush holder and multi-hook were also mounted on the tub surround wall.
Here is the large towel hook. This one comes with a surface preparation wipe for mounting.
I had extended family visiting last month and these products were nice to organize my own belongings and give relatives some areas to organize their own personal items while they were here. One tip I found to make Command products be more likely to stay put is that fresh paint should be fully cured (to find this info, look on your paint can for manufacturer’s cure time) before using Command products. Some of the Command products have alcohol prep pads, like the hook above. Alcohol may remove or dull the surface of fresh paint.
