Belli Body Bounce Back Kit – Firm and Fade

June 25, 2013 by Karen

IMG_1980 Unfortunately, with the birth of my first child, I developed pretty significant stretch marks on my abdomen.  It did not help that I gained 51 lbs. with that pregnancy and I also gained about the same with my second child.  With my third, I was better about maintaining weight gain, but still have to lose what I gained during those first two pregnancies yet years later.

With the marks I have “earned” from my pregnancies, I was excited to try and review the Belli Body Bounce Back Kit.  Please note my last child was born the end of 2010 so my “battle wounds” are not fresh.

The Belli Body Bounce Back Kit is a two-step system to help tone, firm and fade.   There is a 8 fl. oz. bottle of Body Firming Serum and a 6.5 fl. oz. container of Stretchmark Minimizing Cream in the kit.  These two products work to improve the tone and appearance of stressed and stretched out skin.  They are specifically formulated to decrease the appearance of existing stretch marks of ANY age, regardless of the cause.

I think this product would be great for pregnant moms or anyone due to the fact that there are no paraben preservatives, BPA, phthalates, nor dyes or artificial fragrances.  The products included in this kit are also LACT-MED screened to make sure the ingredients are not harmful to a mother’s breast milk.  They are also allergy tested.

Body Firming Serum

The serum contains ingredients like shiitake mushroom and pumpkin seedcake to help revitalize loose skin.  It also contains rice proteins, antioxicants, and skin-fortifying peptides to maintain the look of healthy, smooth looking skin.

Directions:  Apply once or twice daily.  Start at the ankles, use light sweeping motions moving up to the neck, then from the wrists up to the shoulders.

Stretchmark Minimizing Cream

Formulated to decrease the appearance of existing stretch marks.  It contains darutoside and registril, which have been scientifically reported to reduce the appearance of stretch mark depth by up to 72% and stretch mark length by up to 52%.  * Research studies conducted by Phybiotex Labs, Sederma Group, France, 1997. Some of the other ingredients are:  avocado oil to soften and moisturize, ginseng to help even out skin tone.

Directions:  Apply to stretch marks morning and night for 4 weeks, then once daily until desired results are achieved.

IMG_2178stretchmarksIt took me some courage to do the following images and I am sorry if it is found to be appalling to anyone.

I had a Facebook friend who recently shared the story of a mom who was out with her two kids, playing in small pool located in the front yard and she was wearing a bikini top and shorts.  There was a pic of the mom’s top, abdomen, and shorts, and I did not find the clothing too skimpy.  Anyway, an older woman in the neighborhood came over to the mom and told her she should not expose her children to viewing her stretch marks.  Goodness, you would think a woman would be more compassionate to another woman!

I wanted to be true to my readers with this review, but it required me to step way out of my comfort zone..

I just finished up week four and focused on my abdomen.  I should have done more of a view like the second one because the marks are darker on the sides of my belly button.  If you can not tell from the before and after, my skin does seem a little less droopy and the stretch marks are certainly still visible, but are lighter.  The stretch marks off to the side are more even in color with the rest of my abdomen versus the first image with darker stretch marks more notable off to the side.

I will continue on using Belli Stretchmark Minimizing Cream once a day and hope my stretch marks become less visible.  This product has a lovely light citrus scent and is a thick, white cream.  The only problem I had with application is that the bottle sat on our bathroom counter and if I wasn’t paying attention, I grabbed it on a few occasions because the container is shaped like my toothpaste, just a little wider.  The silver label should have stood out, but I am also blind as a bat without using my glasses or contacts right before going to bed.

With the Belli firming Serum, it is a clear liquid and I did not notice any kind of scent.  After repeat applications, there was a brown plug in the nozzle that developed and I just worked to discard the plug.  I am not sure what caused it.  This product is recommended to lift and firm your breasts, buttocks, and abdomen.

The Belli Body Bounce Back Kit has a price of $69.99 currently and can also be found on Amazon.
