If you have a front loading HE machine like I do, you might want to give this simple laundry detergent recipe a try.
2 shaved bars of Ivory soap
2 c. Borax
2 c. Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda
I had my soap bars sitting on the shelf for quite a while so my mixture was a bit lumpy, but this is an image of the mixture. The mixture is stored in an airtight container. To use, it is 1 Tbsp. of mixture per load or 2 Tbsp. for more cleaning power on a heavily soiled load. That’s it! It leaves a light, clean scent.
