Crystal McVea was being hospitalized to treat a painful and severe case of pancreatitis. This then 32-year-old mom of four went into respiratory arrest on December 10, 2009, and recalls waking up in Heaven. No one knows for sure why Crystal stopped breathing.
There were two minutes where her face turned blue and the first nurse rushed into her hospital room to another seven minutes for health care staff to work on bringing her back to life. When she was revived, she knew God was real and he told her that she needed to share her entire life story with the world in Waking Up in Heaven.
This book isn’t so much about Crystal’s time in heaven, but the journey her life. She had to encounter many painful struggles in life that made her question God’s existence at times. She airs out all of the skeletons in her closet to show how God still loves us and offers forgiveness, no matter what we have done in our past.
Waking Up in Heaven is a courageous story of how a woman’s faith is renewed. If you are looking for this book to cover just an in depth description of Heaven, this is not the one for you.
