‘The Bears are back’ in an all-new CGI animated series Care Bears:  Totally Sweet Adventures debuting on DVD, Digital Download and Video on Demand March 5th from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.  The Care Bears embark on all-new exciting adventures with a fresh new look, new attitude and all-new music.  These loveable Bears premiered on The Hub TV Network in June 2012 and garnered over 6 million unique views.  Re-created with CGI animation, this all-new DVD includes a share and care sing-along in addition to the four adventures.

Come back to Care-a-lot and join Cheer Bear, Share Bear, Tenderheart Bear and all of the Care Bears in “Care Bears:  Totally Sweet Adventures” available on DVD for a suggested retail price of $14.98 and is 88 minutes in length.

When I was very young, the Care Bears got their start on greeting cards for American Greeting (1981).  A few years later, they became cute, plush bears.  They then appeared on a few TV specials and had their own TV series in the mid-’80s that I grew up with.  A few feature films with the Care Bears were created in the mid to late ’80s.  The bears were re-introduced as toys in 2002 and a new TV series aired last year.  I have shared two computer-animated movies with my daughters (“Care Bears: Journey to Joke-a-lot” and “Care Bears’ Big Wish Movie”).  They were excited to view “Care Bears: Totally Sweet Adventures”.

The Care Bears have always been great at featuring important life lessons.  There are four episodes included in this DVD:  Emerald Bridge, Jealous Tea, Sad About You, and Lazy Susan.  These episodes show the joy in making new friends, the cons of laziness, nipping jealousy in the butt, and finding courage to face not so good beings, like Beastly.  There is also a special feature included, which is a Share and Care Sing-along.  This computer-animated collection of “Care Bears:  Totally Sweet Adventures” is cheery, bright, and fun to watch for the entire family.

Disclosure:  I received a DVD of this movie in order to place this review.  The thoughts and feelings expressed are my own.  No other compensation was received.
