I love photographic keepsakes and was excited to try out a MailPix Photo Brag Book. MailPix.com was created by Fred Lerner. The goal of MailPix is to keep costs low and pass savings along to consumers. The web technology of this site is intergrated with social media so it is very easy to use your photos from other sites, like Facebook or Instagram.
Disclosure: The top photo of my oldest DOES feature her with blue lips. She had gotten a make-up kit and it had many shades of blue and purple. Odd, I know. She had created her “own look” that day and is not ill or by any means cyanotic.
What is a Brag Book? Brag Books are cute, compact and attractive…perfect for showcasing your new child or grandchild, your portfolio, or your most recent vacation! Each photo book consists of one sided pages printed on real photographic paper so your photos won’t fade with time They have a clear spiral binding with a translucent plastic cover over the front and back. I received a 20 page brag book from MailPix for this review. It has a retail price of $9.00 .
My brag book took 7 days to arrive (this includes a weekend). I was impressed by the glossy finish and clarity to the images I had selected. I think the prices are very reasonable and there is a huge selection of personalized photo gifts available from MailPix.
There are quite a few options to just customizing the photo brag books. You can select a 4×6 or 5×7, make it 5-40 pages, or even add on more. I elected to do a single photo per page, but you can do multiple images per page and add wording. You can also edit your images with Aviary or PicMonkey (from the creators of Picnik) through the MailPix site. The options are endless. Silverlight will need to be downloaded onto your computer if you do not have it already, like for using NetFlix and others. If you are a Mac user, Safari is the recommended browser.
MailPix also advertises great specials, like 4×6 prints for $0.01 on Wednesdays! To check out more of their current specials, visit http://www.mailpix.com/deals.
