Sharks After Dark at SEA LIFE in MOA Review and Coupon

My family and I recently had the opportunity to visit SEA LIFE Aquarium last Thursday night at the Mall of America for Sharks After Dark.

The SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium features the largest underground aquarium in the world, they have great Pond Liners all around the park.  It gives visitors the chance to see sharks, stingrays, clown fish, shrimp, seahorses, and many more while in close proximity.  SEA LIFE  features a 300 ft. ocean tunnel, 30 display tanks, and is home to over 10,000 sea creatures.

I wanted to share a few images from the evening with you.  My camera doesn’t do these sea creatures justice.  You need to see them in person.

This Green Moray Eel worked to greet all those who entered SEA LIFE.

The Voltan Lion Fish put on a show in the Caribbean tank.
 Virtual submarine ride, anyone?
There is a Ray Lagoon where you can touch chocolate starfish and sea urchins.  Touching the starfish was a favorite with my 5 1/2-year-old.
The young and old can test their knowledge with some sea life trivia.

The garden eels seem to wiggle and sway.

Seahorse Kingdom was a favorite attraction for my 3 1/2-year-old.

The Jellyfish Discovery area was really cool.  It is weird to think that these graceful creatures don’t have a brain, bones, blood, or heart.  Jellyfish have been around 650 million years – outdating dinosaurs and sharks!

Traveling through the 300 ft. aquarium tunnel is awesome!  Unfortunately my camera does not do justice to the creatures of this area.  Sharks, turtles, sawfish, and so much more!

You can also learn about creatures of the rainforest.
