Earlier this week, my spouse and I went to a screening of Incredibles 2. Can you believe it has already been 14 years since The Incredibles came out? In the first installment, the Parr family worked together to defeat Syndrome.
The new installment, which opens tomorrow, starts off with the family coming together to take on the Underminer. With the damages and expenses to repair the battle, the Parr family is told they are done and are moved into a motel. In a few weeks, they must start their civilian lives.
Thankfully, Helen is recruited to try and get the ban on superheroes removed by showcasing the good work of Elastigirl. Bob is to then care for Violet, Dash, and baby Jack-Jack.
Familiar faces like Frozone and Edna”E” Mode return plus a few billionaires, an evil villain, and a new batch of super wannabes are introduced in Incredibles 2.
I think it’s wonderful how these films have an emphasis on family and learning to work together. Even with superpowers, life can give you some ups and downs. Without giving much more away, I will close in stating that I think this is a must-see film for the family. Incredibles 2 is a summer entertainment treat!
