The EasyLock

Unfortunately the summer is almost over and it feels like it was a blur.  We did not have much time for family vacations and I had only one hotel stay that I took alone; it included a roommate I had never met before.

The product I am about to mention works well for travelers and does work in some homes.  It is called The EasyLock and it provides added security to inward opening doors.  It goes over the exiting latch plate and was slightly too small for those in our home so I did not get to try this device first-hand.  The EasyLock comes with a handy soft carrying case.

The core of the lock is manufactured from chromium plated steel, encased in strong ABS plastic with a soft plastic edge.  The latch plate is manufactured from high strength stainless steel as is the sliding mechanism, ensuring that the lock will never fail under attack.

What exactly does The EasyLock do?  It is the only lock of its kind that allows individuals to open the door slightly so they can check who is at the door or take a letter while having total security.  A reviewer on Amazon had interesting take on using The EasyLock – their review said it helped keep little kids from opening the door at night.  That would be a scary problem!

I asked my spouse what he thought of The EasyLock with being in the building trades.  He thought it was made well and liked the concept.  The only thing he mentioned is that a wood frame door could still be busted into.  The EasyLock may not fail, but the wood can be broken.  This device would create more security with a steel frame door.

The EasyLock was invented by a grandfather as he was concerned about the safety of his grandchildren when they went off travelling.  It is available on Amazon.com and www.the-easylock.com with a retail price of approximately $24.95 and comes in colors pink and silver.

Disclosure:  I received The EasyLock to review.  No other compensation was received.  The thoughts and feelings expressed are my own.
