Ellie (a.k.a Pajama Girl) and her little sister look forward to their imaginative play at night. Ellie wears different pajamas based on the type of adventure she wants to discover in her sleep, hence her nickname. She has chosen cupcake pajamas for tonight.
The two sisters says their prayers and then Ellie dreams of her and her little sis in a kingdom of cupcakes. It’s Cupcake Queen’s coronation and they find the queen quite sad. Someone has stolen all of the sprinkles and the cupcakes will not be the same for this important day. Ellie and her sister search for the missing sprinkles.
The Adventures of Pajama Girl shows that stealing is not right and how younger siblings get their feelings hurt when left out by their older siblings. The illustrations in this title are cheery, whispy, and feminine. My eight-year-old read the book on her own and it was nice to cuddle and read this story to my six-year-old and four-year-old.
