In honor of The Best of Me, which is based on the #1 New York Times Best-Seller from author Nicholas Sparks, we had a tea party to celebrate in conjunction with watching the movie together. Teavana and Fox Home Entertainment provided me with some great goodies to share. The Best of Me was released on Blu-ray and DVD on February 3rd.
My guests and I were given themed mason jar mugs and vanilla scented candles.
Teavana provided me with a limited edition tea kit to enjoy #TheBestOfTea. We sampled Teavana’s limited edition First Blush Tea that is an exclusively designed tea for Valentine’s Day. It is a Jasmine green tea blended with floral orchid oolong that is enhanced with luscious strawberries, crisp rhubarb, and effervescent undertones of bubbly rosé. You can even blend iced First Blush Tea with a glass of champagne for an enjoyable cocktail. That would be great to enjoy this next weekend. 😉
Here is a visual of the First Blush blend.
We got to sample Perfectea Rock Sugar with our tea.
Teavana’s Perfectea Tea Maker was included and it was awesome. You can steep the loose leaf tea with hot water in the Perfectea Tea Maker and set it on the included coaster. Then when it is ready, simply put the device over your cup and it releases the tea from the underside in a steady stream until you lift up on the tea maker. It made pouring the tea effortless and there was no worry of a tea ball in your cup while it brewed.
And here are the dear sweet ladies who allowed me to share #TheBestofTea from Teavana and later The Best of Me with them this past Friday.
I did watch The Best of Me of me solo a few days before the party to prepare myself for viewing it together since I can easily let down the waterworks. I would advise having a box of tissues handy.
High school sweethearts, Dawson and Amanda, are reunited 20 years later by the passing of a dear friend. I have not read this particular book by Nicholas Sparks, but the release on video has the movie and then there is a second edition of the movie with an alternate ending, the “Tears of Joy Edition”. It’s a touching story of undying love and second chances. I would like to thank Fox Home Entertainment and Teavana for this opportunity.

Thank you, Karen! I love that tea maker–I think I need one! I’m watching The Best of Me tonight for Valentines Day with my husband and our neighbors.
