Indulgent 7th Street Confections Dark Chocolate Thins

Some of you may be surprised to learn that Minnesota has been home to an iconic candy company for over 100 years, Pearson Candy Company.  They make the treasured Salted Nut Roll, Bit-O-Honey, and Nut Goodie candies.  Yum! Recently their new brand, 7th Street Confections, released its first product line, Dark Chocolate Thins.

7th Street Confections Dark Chocolate Thins combine the rich flavor of dark chocolate that is 54% cacao with freeze-dried fruit pieces, nuts, and grains.  Dark chocolate is noted for its beneficial antioxidants and is lower in sugar and calories than other types of chocolate. Freeze drying fruit surprisingly holds its flavor and color, and also retains most of the nutrients from fresh fruit.

The fruit pieces, nuts, and grains provide a one of a kind flavor with a crunchy texture.  Quinoa is gluten-free and high in protein and fiber.  Almonds are a low-calorie nut that are also a great source of fiber and are high in vitamins and minerals, like magnesium.  The ingredients used in this product line are non-GMO and Dark Chocolate Thins are free of artificial colors and flavors.  ðŸ™‚

There are currently four flavors of 7th Street Confections Dark Chocolate Thins – raspberry & quinoa, strawberry, blueberry & almond, and also pineapple & toasted coconut.  I got to try all four flavors and I would have to say that pineapple & toasted coconut is my personal favorite.  The chocolate gives it a smooth, indulgent flavor with surprising bits of other flavors and textures.

Seasonal flavors are in the works for the holidays, like dark chocolate with pretzel & peppermint, white chocolate with raspberry & dark chocolate chips, and a milk chocolate with sugar cookie and sprinkles.

7th Street Confections Dark Chocolate Thins are available in 4.7 oz. stand-up re-closable bags.  It’s hard to stop and save the rest for later once you start munching on them.

Dark Chocolate Thins are available at grocery stores, mass retailers, specialty retail, and convenience stores nationwide with a suggested retail price of $4.49.  Check out where to buy here.
