With school out and summer soon beginning, our calendar gets filled with outings to the local state parks, swimming lessons, and more snacking while on the go.
I was sent an assortment of Welch’s Fruit Snacks to review. These fruit snacks are made with real fruit, are fat free, and gluten free. They do contain 100% of the recommended daily value of vitamin C and 25% of vitamins A and E.
Welch’s Fruit Snacks are available in three sizes: .9 oz, 2.25 oz, and 5 oz bags. The .9 oz has 80 calories and 11 grams of sugar. There is a mixed fruit that comes in a reduced sugar variety, which is .8 oz with 8 grams of sugar and 70 calories. The reduced sugar variety contains aspartame and was recognized as a healthier snacking option by the Alliance for a Healthy Generation.
My children ate most of the samples I was sent. I did get to try a few from each bag and thought they were tasty with a soft gummy texture that was quite appealing. There are 10 varieties of Welch’s Fruit Snacks available. I enjoyed the strawberry and tangy fruit the most.
I spent a little time looking of the nutritional information and ingredients. The first ingredient is juice from various fruit concentrates. Reading through the rest of the ingredients, corn syrup and sugar are listed as ingredients #2 and #3 and there are artificial dyes. I would personally prefer to not have the artificial dyes or added sugar.
You can find Welch’s Fruit Snacks at your local grocery store, club stores, and online. For a list of retailers, check out where to find Welch’s Fruit Snacks.

Now this is a review my son could really sink his teeth into as he Loves these snacks. I wish I had been able to review them. I did stop by from Team Mommies to see if you needed anything and to see if you have any companies you would like for us to Pitch. Have a fun day.
