Red’s All Natural Burritos Review

Disclosure:  I received coupons for Red’s All Natural Burritos in exchange of an honest review.  The thoughts and feelings expressed are my own.  No other compensation was received for this post.

I am not a big football fan, but I plan to watch at least the half time show to catch Bruno Mars with the Red Hot Chili Peppers this coming weekend.  I can tell the Super Bowl is on the minds of many by all of the snack foods coming through on my Facebook feed and as suggested pins.  I was asked to try Red’s All Natural frozen burritos as a healthy snacking option, great to consider for the upcoming weekend.

Red’s All Natural Quesadillas and Burritos are:

  • 100% all-natural
  • Non-GMO
  • Preservative-free
  • Made with antibiotic and hormone-free meat
  • Use rBGH-free cheese

Red’s All Natural was founded by the company’s current CEO, Mike Adair.  He created these filling and wholesome burritos with the original recipes from his wife, Paige, and with the approval of their dog, Red.

I went to Elk River in search of Red’s All Natural this past week.  I searched the website for “where to buy” first.  It listed a Target in Elk River that has been gone for at least the last few years and I asked a manager at the Coborns in Elk River that was listed about the brand and he had never seen it in the store so the website can be a bit tricky to follow on “where to find”.  I did find Red’s All Natural Burritos at a Cub in Elk River.  They did not carry Red’s All Natural Quesadillas though.

I selected Red’s All Natural Turkey Burrito, Red’s All Natural Bean and Rice Burrito, and Red’s All Natural Steak Burrito to take home and try.  To heat the frozen burritos, I did the preferred method, which is to thaw by microwaving on high for 2-3 minutes and then placing the burritos on a baking sheet coated with non-stick spray.  The cooking time was 15-20 minutes or until fully cooked at 375 degrees Fahrenheit on the Bean and Rice variety where the other two were at 400 degrees.

If the burrito is thawed, you can use a panini press or another method for the burritos frozen is to prepare completely in the microwave.  The preferred method lightly browned and crisped the edges of the tortillas.  They were thoroughly heated.

Red’s All Natural Burritos are a plump and hearty 11 oz. each.  They seem to share whole grain brown rice, black beans, peppers, onions, sweet kernels of corn, and seasonings.  Sour cream is already added to the burritos so you just need to top them off with a variety of fresh produce and maybe a bit of shredded cheese when serving.

You won’t leave the table hungry after having one and the serving size is one entire burrito!  The burritos retailed at my nearest Cub for $3.95 each and were in the natural foods section.  I did not see these where I was shopping, but there is a 5 oz. burrito available and Red’s All Natural Quesadillas may be available at your local grocer.
