Any idea what it is? This product is an ultra fine powder from the moringa plant in Green Virgin Products Moringa Ultimate Micro-Fine Powder. If the moringa plant is new to you, like it was to me, moringa from what I have read, is found in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the tropics. The moringa used in this products has been sourced from the Philipines and contains the leaves from the plant. To take moringa powder, simply add to water, smoothies, or juice. It should not be heated above 140 degrees Fahrenheit with the odds of decreasing the nutritional value. Virgin Products Moringa Ultimate Micro-Fine Powder comes in a foil pouch that is labeled as being resealable, but for the life of me, I cut at the line drawn on the bag and could not get it open. I had to cut again below the line to open it. The foil and being resealable is to be great for keeping the nutrient level optimal with minimal exposure to oxygen and light if the bag performs properly for you.I have been meaning to add this to juice and try it. So far it has just been with water. It takes a bit of stirring to get it all blended and gives the water a bit of an herbal flavor. The recommended minimum dose of the micro-fine powder is 2 grams (about 1 tsp.) per day.One often noted benefit of using moringa powder is increased energy and it is caffeine free. After using this powder a few days and having one cup of coffee in the morning as my only stimulant, I went to bed at 10 p.m. and found myself lying in bed yet awake at almost 2 a.m.! I wasn’t stressing about anything, just felt alert. Ugh. I didn’t take it the following day and felt drained by that evening. I have had to eliminate coffee on the days I take it to avoid a short night.
Outside of the glitch with the packaging and needing to avoid stimulants when I take Green Virgin Products Moringa Ultimate Micro-Fine Powder, I like all of the nutrition it provides. To learn more about this product, please visit Green Virgin Products. A 120 gram bag, like pictured in the review, retails for $49.95.
Disclosure: I received a pouch of Green Virgin Products Moringa Ultimate Micro-Fine Powder for this review. No other compensation was received for this post.
