G.H. Cretors Popped Corn

IMG_1986I love popcorn so the review of G.H. Cretors Popped Corn was a wonderful treat.  It was a hit with my entire family.

G.H. Cretors Popped Corn is based out of Waukegan, IL.  Charles Cretors, great grandpa to the family business of G. H. Cretors, created the commercial large IMG_1984scale popcorn machine in the late 19th century.  His family has been perfecting the art of popping corn since 1885.

 

I was sent a shipment with the following:  Just the Caramel Corn, Kettle Corn, Chicago Mix (caramel and cheddar cheese popcorn mix), Just the Cheese Corn, and Caramel Nut Crunch (caramel corn with freshly roasted almonds and cashews.  The sampler pack is $19.98 plus shipping.  The bags were 6.5-8 oz. in size, depending on flavor.  You can also purchase the bags individually.

IMG_1987G.H. Cretors cooks all of their caramel in old fashioned copper kettles, just one batch at a time.  They melt real cheddar cheese before pouring it onto their delectable popcorn.

G.H. Cretors does not use ingredients like corn syrup or artificial colors and flavors.  The ingredients are all natural.  The main sources of sweetness come from cane sugar, brown rice syrup, and brown sugar.  The ingredients they use are also non-GMO.  Yea!  These products are made in a facility that process peanuts, treenuts, wheat, egg, soy, and milk for anyone battling allergies or food sensitivities.

For all of you gals out there, G.H. Cretors is run by moms.  Clair Cretors, the popcorn president, and her mom, Phyllis, are carrying on the popped corn tradition passed on my Grandpa Cretors.

G.H. Cretors Popped Corn is excellent as a treat or appreciated as a gift idea.  You may order online at G.H. Cretors, Amazon, and select retailers in the U.S. and Canada.  I’ve gotten flavored popcorn during the holidays and G.H. Cretors tops the quality and taste of what I have had in the past.  Just the Caramel Corn is my favorite.  Yum!  You may also find G.H.
