Summer is a great time for summer salads, sandwiches, and other dishes that request a little pizzaz from mustard.  I received Colman’s Prepared Mustard and Double Superfine Mustard Powder to review.  Colman’s is known world-wide as an English mustard and has a bit more kick than we might be used to from other mainstream mustard brands from the U.S.  Colman’s is based in Norwich, Norfolk, and is currently a division of the Unilever company in the UK.

Colman’s combines brown and white mustard seeds to give it its trademark fiery kick.  It can be used on sandwiches, over sausages or roast beef, plus more.  With its kick, I assumed that it had horseradish to it and learned it was from the blend of the mustard seeds.

I dabbed a bit on a spoon and tried the prepared Colman’s Mustard and then used it in a sloppy joes recipe recently.
